CAFE & KITCHEN STAFF

- Permanent & Casual Contracts available
 

- Permanant Salary: £18,800-£20,200  (40 hours per week) 

- Casuals Salary: Hourly rate, starting from National Minimum Wage

An exciting opportunity to join our newly relaunched Alpine Lounge. The role will involve working with our Alpine Lounge team primarily either as a cook/chef, a food runner, or taking orders and serving drinks.

Mendip Activity Centre is a year-round multi-activity centre near Bristol. Our 250-acre site boasts a dry ski slope, a private limestone rocksports quarry, an onsite cave, ancient woodland, an 86 bed residential lodge, family and youth campsites, bar/café’s and target sport ranges.

Responsibilities

Mendip is an expanding dynamic business. The role will involve working with our catering team and covering a range of responsibilities. A suitable candidate will be quick to learn how our business operates and the procedures we follow. The right person will manage their time efficiently; good organisational skills are essential. The job requires a polite courteous approach to all communication.

Essential criteria

  • Good communication skills

  • Age 16+

Desirable criteria

  • Experience working in a busy cafe/restaurant kitchen

  • Previous cook / chef experience

  • Able to run a kitchen

  • Knowledge of allergies and special diets

  • Experience using a barista coffee machine

  • Hold a valid Food Hygiene certificate
