FACILITIES TEAM MEMBER

Location: Mendip Hills National Landscape near Bristol/Cheddar

Contract:  Full Time 
Salary: £24,000-£25,350 Dependent on qualifications and experience 

Holiday: 28 days holidays per annum

Paid lunch break and great benefits

No two days will ever be the same working in our estate team. Help to look after our 250-acre outdoor activity site, dry ski slope, campsite and Lodge. Mendip is one of the largest outdoor activity providers in the South West and is constantly growing, evolving and adapting - and our estate team is the backbone to our success.

We complete many of our building / maintenance projects in-house which gives a great variety to the role and ability for us to adapt proactively to any necessary changes or business requirements.

​

We are specifically looking for someone to join the team with a practical building/carpentry background with the right personality/ethos to fit in with the team. Plumbing experience would be an additional bonus.

​

This role will allow for the growth of the team and we have no set start date but are looking for the right candidate for the role.

Main duties and responsibilities

​

  • General site maintenance

  • Handyman / odd jobs

  • Estate grounds works

  • Seasonal project assembly, maintenance and disassembly

  • Ski slope maintenance and checks (training provided)

  • Basic vehicle maintenance

Expected skills and qualifications â€‹
 

  • Driving licence

  • Practical and hands-on

  • Physically fit and able to help lift/move

  • Able to work outside in all elements

  • A logical thinker and problem solver

  • Able to work well as part of a team and independently

​

Desirable skills and qualifications â€‹

​

  • Previous experience in a similar role

  • Other areas of expertise (e.g. plumbing, electrics, carpentry or landscaping/gardening)
